Carmarthen Cemetery is owned and maintained by Carmarthen Town Council and was extended in 2001.

Cemetery Refurbishment and Safety

Carmarthen Town Council is undertaking a Safety Audit of all memorials at Carmarthen Cemetery to establish the stability of every memorial. If any memorials are found to be unsafe or in a dangerous condition it will be necessary for the memorial to be laid flat on a grave, or fitted with a temporary support, after which the memorial should not be tampered with.

If it is necessary for the Town Council to attend to the remedial work, the cost of necessary work will be recovered from the owner of the grave.
