MAYOR’S MESSAGE

Yesterday’s announcement of a three week extension to the ‘lockdown’ will present many more challenges to our local community.

I wish to reassure people that our network of over 40 volunteers in the Carmarthen area are continuing to work amazingly effectively to help local people. I want to express my sincere appreciation and thanks to our volunteers, many of whom have visited or contacted vulnerable people and others who need support, regularly during the last month or so. The work of the volunteers represents the very best about our community and with their support, and by working together, we will continue to reduce the risk of the Covid 19 virus from spreading, protect the NHS and thereby save lives.
